Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz at a young age. Her roles included lead characters in television dramas as early as 16 years old. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Through the years, Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
