Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director best known as the star of Birdman. A versatile actor, he is able to perform both dramatic and comedic roles. His professional career has seen him has performed a range of romantic roles and also was a part of action-thrillers. In his teenage years He developed an enthusiasm for acting and performance. He then tried stand-up comedy in his teens. The comedy venture did not go well, but it paved the way for the path to a career in acting. Unable to find success as a comic, he took on a position as cameraman on television at a cable station. It was at this station was where he discovered that it was his dream to be before cameras. In a few episodes, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, he got a television part. His natural talent as an actor made him popular in TV. He embarked on the film industry with high goals and gained a lot of fame through his comedic characters. His career was further enhanced by the acclaim he received for his portrayal of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, as a mature actor he also began to venture into directing and producing. The 2014 Birdman film won him a number of awards and nominations.
